Technicians who deliver home health equipment, physical therapists who get patients back on their feet, pharmacists and nurses and doctors and all of the administrators who make their jobs possible—living through a pandemic has given the staff of WV Living a fresh appreciation for the many thousands of people across the state who dedicate their days to keeping all of us healthy.

David Taylor nominated Susan Ketchem as a Health Care Hero because she provides not only the “health” part of health care to her patients, but, more importantly, the “care” part. “She goes above and beyond, works to find the exact diagnosis, and then develops a plan to help the patient get better,” he says. “Doctors gave up on my sister-in-law until she met Susan, and that was the only way she got the care she needed for her condition.”
