Technicians who deliver home health equipment, physical therapists who get patients back on their feet, pharmacists and nurses and doctors and all of the administrators who make their jobs possible—living through a pandemic has given the staff of WV Living a fresh appreciation for the many thousands of people across the state who dedicate their days to keeping all of us healthy.

“Marsha truly deserves all the respect, dignity, and compassion she has given thousands of others in her 25-year career.”

The care that nurses gave Marsha Bowman and her family during her 2005 open heart surgery inspired her to go into nursing herself. She’s spent most of her career in the ER and currently works in the COVID unit. “Marsha approaches every shift as an opportunity to provide understanding and professionalism to all she comes in contact with—from patients to coworkers to the patients’ family and friends who are unable to be there to provide comfort,” her nominator, Chris Watson, wrote.
