Technicians who deliver home health equipment, physical therapists who get patients back on their feet, pharmacists and nurses and doctors and all of the administrators who make their jobs possible—living through a pandemic has given the staff of WV Living a fresh appreciation for the many thousands of people across the state who dedicate their days to keeping all of us healthy.
Matthew Bowman
Respiratory therapist
princeton community hospital, princeton
Asthmatic as a kid, Matthew Bowman attended breathing classes with his grandpa. Seeing his grandpa’s health deteriorate moved him to go into health care, and respiratory therapy was a natural choice. Bowman’s proud mother, Deborah Howell, says he is very dedicated and great at what he does. “I love the fact that we can turn people’s lives around with a bypass or ventilator,” he says. “Seeing patients come off of ventilators from COVID, it’s been amazing.”
