Technicians who deliver home health equipment, physical therapists who get patients back on their feet, pharmacists and nurses and doctors and all of the administrators who make their jobs possible—living through a pandemic has given the staff of WV Living a fresh appreciation for the many thousands of people across the state who dedicate their days to keeping all of us healthy.

For 23 years, Nicole Maroudas-McNamee has helped Mingo County residents any way she can from behind the counter at Hurley Drug Company. She’s recently become the “point of the spear,” vaccinating residents in the community and delivering medications and health supplies to the community’s most vulnerable residents. “The pandemic has been hard on all of us and, as a community pharmacist, I see the daily effects of it. I enjoy being part of the solution,” she says.
