Technicians who deliver home health equipment, physical therapists who get patients back on their feet, pharmacists and nurses and doctors and all of the administrators who make their jobs possible—living through a pandemic has given the staff of WV Living a fresh appreciation for the many thousands of people across the state who dedicate their days to keeping all of us healthy.

williamson health & wellness center, williamson
The once-a-month free clinic Dino Beckett started in his private practice in Williamson in the early 2000s grew quickly in response to need—to weekly, then daily. He partnered with others to create the Williamson Health & Wellness Center to get medical, dental, and behavioral health services to more un- and underinsured people. The center’s Mingo County Diabetes Coalition has improved many patients’ blood glucose levels and reduced hospitalizations. Beckett’s clinic now employs more than 100 and has become a model for rural communities nationwide.
