A high school Emergency Department internship showed Carroll Christiansen the ability those in medicine have to help others. A man of varied interests—sailing, learning French, and medical mission trips—Christiansen enjoys the variety in his current medical practice. “I get to do everything I have ever wanted to do,” he says. “I get to help people and see them reach their goals.” He’s been instrumental in providing Spencer with a small-town clinic, says nominatorSusan Myers. “He goes over and above the call of duty.”
