Technicians who deliver home health equipment, physical therapists who get patients back on their feet, pharmacists and nurses and doctors and all of the administrators who make their jobs possible—living through a pandemic has given the staff of WV Living a fresh appreciation for the many thousands of people across the state who dedicate their days to keeping all of us healthy.

Raised in a family of nurses, Sarah D’Angelo never thought she could handle it—but work in the Emergency Department changed her mind. “When you’re caring for that person,” she says, “all you can think is, ‘Oh my gosh, let me help you.’” Families notice her compassion. “She went above and beyond to help my grandfather today,” Maureen Ray posted on Facebook in November, treating him with respect and hearing the family’s concerns. “It’s nurses like her that make our hospitals successful.”
