Technicians who deliver home health equipment, physical therapists who get patients back on their feet, pharmacists and nurses and doctors and all of the administrators who make their jobs possible—living through a pandemic has given the staff of WV Living a fresh appreciation for the many thousands of people across the state who dedicate their days to keeping all of us healthy.
Hyla Harvey
Primary Care Physician
Marshall Health, Hurricane
Brianne Solomon has strong feelings about Hyla Harvey. “I’m 40 years old and I’ve never felt this way about a doctor. She’s absolutely magic,” Solomon says. She went to Harvey “dejected, discouraged, and disenchanted with the medical system” and its inability to diagnose what Harvey later identified as an autoimmune disease. Each of Harvey’s patients gets this kind of attention. “Call me,” Harvey tells them, for almost any reason. “I have a responsibility and commitment to these people, to make sure they’re as healthy as possible.”
