Why Go

The hotel’s bar, Anvil + Ax, offers creative cocktails using local products like Mountain State Spirits and amazing elevated pepperoni rolls that are not your mama’s concoctions—it’s Appalachian goodness wrapped in a fresh French baguette. (See photo above)

Why Go
Yelp recently unveiled its “Top 100 Places to Eat in 2021,” and at the top of its national list is this female-owned vegan restaurant in Harpers Ferry.

Marilyn’s Of Morgantown

Why Go
What started as a family-operated restaurant in Uniontown has opened a second location in Morgantown and has quickly gathered a cult following. A robust craft beer selection, televisions, and outdoor seating, it’s a great place to watch the game.

The General Tso’s Cauliflower is so amazing, you will not want to share although the heaping portion will force you to. And although you’ll need a fork to enjoy the massive Clara’s Meatballs, it would be criminal not to mention them.
Trail 12 BBQ, Gilbert

Why Go
Why go? Because you will never have eaten barbecue with views like this. Once you get to the top of the mountain, you might as well stay at the adjoining Twin Hollow Campground and Cabins, but make reservations. There’s a reason this place is so popular.
