voted best mayor in west Virginia in 2021
Rader was born and raised in Ripley before becoming its mayor. She earned a degree in elementary education from Marshall University before making a career at Ripley Elementary School and eventually becoming the principal of Fairplain Elementary School. Now retired and focused on being her town’s mayor, she’s been elected to four terms. According to Jackson County’s website, she enjoys reading, helping with multiple local projects, and playing trivia with her family. cityofripley.org
