Blackwater Falls State Park
This is the eighth win in the Best State Park/Forest category for this famous and picture perfect state park, which first greeted guests back in 1937. The highlight of the park is no doubt the cascading waterfall, where the Blackwater River tumbles 57 feet into the Blackwater Canyon. But the park has so much more to offer, including lodging and dining options and countless recreational opportunities to enjoy the scenic beauty of Canaan Valley. 1584 Blackwater Lodge Road, Davis, 304.259.5216, blackwaterfalls.com
