Our Wild & Wonderful Getaway Giveaway is back! This month you can enter to win a getaway courtesy of Elkins–Randolph County Tourism.
From March 4 to 24, 2024, you can enter to win by answering the question below. One lucky person will win the grand prize of a weekend getaway trip for two to visit Elkins from May 17 to 19, 2024.
The winner will enjoy overnight accommodations for two at the Tygart Hotel, tickets to the Gandy Dancer Dinner Theatre, a ride on the New Tygart Flyer train excursion, dinner at the Forks, passes to the Beverly Heritage Center and 1841 Jail Escape Room, passes to the West Virginia Railroad Museum and Appalachian Forest Discovery Center, and a TipTop Coffee gift card!

The New Tygart Flyer Train Excursion
All aboard the Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad’s New Tygart Flyer excursion train. Travel through the picturesque Monongahela National Forest to a remote waterfall and your destination: the High Falls of the Cheat River.
This 4-hour round trip excursion includes lunch, and you’ll ride in the Parlor Car, the coveted, upscale passenger car on the train.

The beautiful scenery is first. I always look for the arts and music in an area. Traditional is good when combined with progressive efforts.I see some really fantastic technology coming into play. Outdoor activities are a favorite as well as I have never went on a train ride before. Would love to check it all out. I’ve been to Elkins on several occasions but not explored a lot.
