Technicians who deliver home health equipment, physical therapists who get patients back on their feet, pharmacists and nurses and doctors and all of the administrators who make their jobs possible—living through a pandemic has given the staff of WV Living a fresh appreciation for the many thousands of people across the state who dedicate their days to keeping all of us healthy.

As chief clinical officer for Mountain Health Network, Larry Dial oversees health care providers in multiple hospitals and clinics. He knew in high school that medicine was the career for him, he says, because it integrates his passion for science and the ability to make an impact on patients’ lives. His work during the pandemic spans everything from patient care to system-wide administration. “Even when he’s home, he is taking phone calls about COVID patients,” wrote nominator Tammy Zornes. “He never stops. He is truly one of a kind and a hero.”
