NESTLED IN THE HEART OF THE APPALACHIAN MOUNTAINS at ACE Adventure Resort in Oak Hill, the Mountain Music Festival has grown to become one of the state’s most popular summer music happenings since its start in 2014.
The annual event has expanded from a modest gathering of around 500 people to a vibrant celebration accommodating around 1,500, creating what ACE Event Manager Chris Colin describes as a “family reunion vibe.” Attendees come from near and far to enjoy the festival’s rich and diverse musical styles, including jam bands, folk, indie rock, Americana, bluegrass, funk, electronica, and reggae. This year’s lineup will include Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Tropidelic, Neighbor, and Shadowgrass, along with repeat local crowd favorites Big Something, The Kind Thieves, Sneezy, and a variety of other artists.
The Mountain Music Festival offers local foods along with unique entertainment and activities, such as art workshops, belly dancing performances showcased by the popular group Beats Antique, and fire dancing—which attendees can participate in by completing fire safety courses on-site. Another enjoyable aspect of this multifaceted festival is ACE Resort’s amenities, including permanent restrooms and showers, cabins, and a water park featuring ziplines and inflatables.

Mountain Music Festival 2025 takes place June 6–7. Tickets range from $175 to $289 and include a camping spot, parking for both nights, and general show admission. For an additional $20, attendees can arrive early for the kickoff party on June 5.

If you want to escape, unplug, and experience an electrifying mix of outdoor adventures and live performances with friendly folks under the stars, this festival is perfect for you. Speaking from experience, this writer attended for the first time last summer, and trust me—it’s a vibe you won’t want to miss. 1 Concho Road, Oak Hill, mountainmusicfestwv.com, @mountainmusicfestivalwv on FB
