The editors of WV Living have eaten their way around the state. Here are five of our favorite burgers in West Virginia.
1.) Gonzoburger in Charleston
At Gonzoburger you’ll find handcrafted burgers with creative toppings in a cool and eclectic atmosphere.
2.) Farmer’s Daughter in Capon Bridge
There’s a reason this Capon Bridge butcher was voted our best burger in 2018, but you have to go there to find out.
3.) Fat Patty’s in Barboursville
This Huntington-based chain made its name, literally, on big burgers. And nothing beats the original “Patty Burger”: two 4-ounce beef patties, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, and onion on a soft, buttery bun.
4.) Secret Sandwich Society in Fayetteville
History buffs will appreciate the creative menu at Secret Sandwich Society, located in one of West Virginia’s coolest towns, Fayetteville. Burgers are named for Secret Service code names–but it’s no secret how delicious they are.
5.) North End Tavern and Brewery in Parkersburg.
The NET Burger is legendary at this local favorite, which has been feeding fans since 1899.
