Babe & Honey Artisan Market gives creators a chance to flourish in Bridgeport.

In a cozy storefront on the streets of Bridgeport, shoppers will find a warm, fresh, lovingly curated spot where they can browse the work of woman artisans from around the state. Whether you’re scrolling the Babe & Honey Artisan Market’s picture-perfect Instagram page or taking a stroll through the endlessly chic aisles of the brick-and-mortar location, you’re sure to experience a shopper’s dream.
Products available at the market include quirky homemade jewelry, beautiful paintings and wall hangings, skillfully crafted pottery, new and vintage clothing, baked goods, and more. You’ll find seasonal, holiday-themed offerings as well as timeless staples, and many products—such as the “Babes Support Babes” T-shirt—loudly and proudly encourage the very mission upon which the market is built.
“I wanted to have a store where I could have a collective of women,” owner and curator Casey Gorby says. “Female artists and creatives. It just kind of worked out.” Since opening in June, Gorby has cultivated a group of about 20 female vendors from West Virginia who deliver the best of the best for their customers, and in a wide variety. But for Gorby, seeing her vision come to life is worth far more than just retail value. “I feel like we have such a great group of women that are constantly supporting each other and sharing each other’s stuff on social media,” she says. “Seeing all these women rally around each other is the best part.”
