SUPERPOWER: Resilience with a megaphone

City Clerk, City of Logan, Operator, Small Town Girl Promotions, and Top Earner Executive, Xyngular
In the city of Logan, Amber Miller-Belcher is behind the scenes, going above and beyond to make extraordinary things happen—typically in a fantastic pair of heels. Her positive force has benefited the city and its people through her roles as city clerk and special events coordinator. Her grant-writing skills have secured millions of dollars to help the city thrive and grow. And she does it all while being a devoted wife, mother, businesswoman, and coach. “I lead with a heart for service, whether I’m chasing grants, coaching health and business clients, or creating opportunities for places like the one that raised me,” Miller-Belcher says. “I don’t just wear hats—I design them, delegate in them, and occasionally bedazzle them.”
A former West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals board member, Miller-Belcher has helped organize and pull off many festivals for Logan over the years, including the West Virginia Freedom Festival, the Hocus Pocus Festival, and the Shawnee Island Festival. Pageants are near to her heart, so she also developed a program, Fundraiser Queen, that enables girls from any background to participate. “I believe everyone deserves something to celebrate. I launched the Fundraiser Queen program to give young girls purpose while helping our festivals grow, and I founded Okayest Moms to remind women that perfection is overrated—showing up is enough.”
Looking toward the future, Miller-Belcher hopes to continue finding ways to empower people. “Especially the ones who feel forgotten. I want to keep building spaces where people feel seen and supported, to keep pouring into people and watching them bloom. My dream future is filled with porch talks, purpose-driven work, and helping other small-town girls realize they were never meant to play small.”
