Technicians who deliver home health equipment, physical therapists who get patients back on their feet, pharmacists and nurses and doctors and all of the administrators who make their jobs possible—living through a pandemic has given the staff of WV Living a fresh appreciation for the many thousands of people across the state who dedicate their days to keeping all of us healthy.

June Griffith’s work overseeing day-to-day delivery of medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services at seven free clinics changed dramatically when the pandemic hit. “We had conversations we’d never had before—putting in telemedicine, working with PPE so we could continue to provide care and keep our staff safe,” she says. This work is behind the scenes, says Medical Director Peter Wentzel, “but has had a tremendous effect on keeping people’s health care going during an unprecedented time.”
