Join us for a celebration of the 2022 class of West Virginia Wonder Women!
This is WV Living’s ninth annual unveiling of amazing women who are raising the bar in their communities, serving as beacons of light in their industries, and forcing change for the greater good. We celebrate these Appalachian mavens proving that in a time full of uncertainty, love for one another is all we really need. No need for bulletproof bracelets or a golden lasso of truth—these women are creating a better West Virginia with their can-do attitudes and Mountain State spirit.
We’re excited to have Amy Jo Hutchison as our luncheon speaker this year. Amy Jo is a native West Virginian and a passionate community organizer. She testified powerfully before Congress in 2020 about the struggles of the working poor, then founded Rattle the Windows to amplify the voices of those who, with her, are for economic justice and against systemic poverty and hunger. Her testimony went viral with millions of views on social media, and she later appeared on comedian Jon Stewart’s new show, The Problem with Jon Stewart. After listening to Amy Jo Hutchison, you will forever be changed.

Wonder Women Luncheon – $35 provides admission to the in-person event. Lunch is included.

There is a courtesy group block at the Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston West for any event attendees who would like to stay overnight before or after the event. The special discounted rate is $114 and includes breakfast.
