A spirit made for fall in the heart of Davis.
Vicbob’s Apple Jack brandy is made from a delectable combination of Golden Delicious and Gold Rush apple ciders straight from Winchester Ciderworks in Winchester, Virginia. It’s distilled on-site at Victor “Vic Bob” Hutchinson’s New Heritage Distilling in Davis, and the distillation process produces bright, crisp apple notes drawn from the cider mash.
Brandy buffs might also enjoy the Oaked Apple Jack. This darker version is made through an accelerated aging process that includes adding charred oak spirals into clear apple jack as it ages inside of the barrel. Smooth smokey notes emerge that complement wonderfully with light hints of cinnamon.
Vic Bob also has options for those who enjoy sweeter sips. Try the Oaked Apple Jack paired with a smidge of locally sourced maple syrup from Valley Farms in Aurora in a bottle of VicBob’s Maple Syrup Flavored Brandy. The maple syrup smooths and sweetens the back end, yet allows the notes of the oaked brandy to play a prominent role on the front of the palate.
